1. Summary

CostCast helps you calculate price per kilogram or liter from an in-store price tag. The App:

• uses the camera to recognize text on price tags;
• processes images only on your device;
• does not require registration, an account, or an internet connection;
• does not transmit camera content or recognition results to the developer’s servers.

2. Information we process

2.1. Camera images

When scanning a price tag, the App accesses the camera and processes frames in memory to recognize text (price, weight, product name).

• Frames are not saved to your photo gallery.
• Frames are not uploaded to the developer’s servers.
• No scan history is kept — data is cleared when you leave the screen or tap Reset.
